Tory’s Story
DESIGNER
Before coming to work at SALON ONE in Rapid City in September of 2018, Tory went to high school in Sioux Falls where she graduated in 1997 before moving to Watertown to raise her two children.
There, she also attended beauty school at Lake Area Tech where she graduated in 1999. Tory worked at various salons until she became self-employed for ten years, six of which were as a salon owner.
Now that her children are grown, Tory decided to move to Rapid City for her journey of self-discovery, and to continue her cosmetology career at SALON ONE. Her specialties are coloring, corrective color, and texture cutting. She also loves doing nails and pedicures, and is certified with an electric file.
Outside of the salon, her hobby is darts. Tory has played for 13 years, and has been a member of the Pink Ladies since 2015.
She also has two grandchildren that she loves to spend time with whenever possible.
One of her inspirations would be to go to the Redken 5th Avenue in New York City.
If you could spend one week anywhere in the world, where would it be?
In Florida for the warm beaches and sunsets.
What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Coffee, because how else would you start your day?
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be?
Dry shampoo, because it’s a girl’s best friend.
